Abbreviated Bio for Jerry H. Brown
I received my Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University in 1991, working on the structures of immune system proteins. Starting in 1994, I carried out structural studies of blood clotting and muscle proteins as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Senior Research Scientist at the Rosenstiel Basic Medical Sciences Research Center of Brandeis University. Publication of research results and preparation of grant applications have been major parts of these work responsibilities. A selected list of my 30 full-length published articles is shown below. These publications have appeared in technical and high-impact research journals, as well as in popular magazines. I have also served as an invited referee for manuscripts submitted to Acta Cryst, PNAS, Proteins, Biochemistry, Journal of Structural Biology, and Diabetes, as well as an invited reviewer for a grant submitted to the National Science Foundation.
Since 2013, I have focused my efforts on offering detailed manuscript editing, both for writing style and scientific content, to a wider circle of researchers and other clients. In this time period, I have edited over 600 manuscripts covering a diverse range of topics in chemistry, molecular biology and related fields.
