Pricing
Please indicate the time frame required for completion of the project as well as whether simple or in-depth editing is requested (see Editing Process section). Please also indicate any relevant budgetary constraints, as I am very familiar with such limitations, especially in academic laboratories. These factors, as well as the length and initial quality of the manuscript, will be taken into consideration when discussing pricing with the client and determining a quote.
Upon completion of the project, the client will receive an invoice by e-mail. Currently, payments can be made by check to “J.H. Brown Scientific Editing” or by bank-to-bank transfer for a fee (see invoice for details).
Disclaimers and Privacy
All changes to manuscripts made by J. H. Brown Scientific Editing are suggestions that the client needs to check. The ultimate responsibility for submitted and published manuscripts lies entirely with the client. J. H. Brown Scientific Editing takes every care to handle manuscripts in total confidence. No one else other than myself has access to manuscripts, and they will be deleted securely after completion of the project.
Acknowledgements Policy
There is absolutely no expectation that the editing service be acknowledged in the publication. Any acknowledgement that is included, however, should take on the following form: "We thank Jerry H. Brown for reading the manuscript and making suggestions concerning the writing style and scientific content."
